🇺🇸 Overview of the New U.S. Customs Rule
On July 30, 2025, the U.S. government issued an executive order titled “Termination of De Minimis Treatment for All Countries.” This eliminates duty-free allowance for low-value imported goods and requires new customs procedures that postal operators worldwide are not yet able to implement.
📦 What Japan Post Is Suspending
Beginning August 27, 2025, Japan Post has temporarily suspended acceptance of the following mail items addressed to the United States:
- Gifts valued over 100 USD
- Goods intended for sale or resale (including online orders)
📬 How This Affects Orders from Omamori From Japan
Because all Omamori shipped from our store are classified as goods for sale, we are currently unable to ship packages to U.S. addresses until the suspension is lifted or updated procedures are provided by Japan Post.
We are monitoring official updates and will resume U.S. shipping as soon as it becomes possible.
📢 We Will Continue Posting Updates
We understand that many customers in the United States order Omamori as meaningful gifts, so we will continue to update this page and our News section as soon as Japan Post releases additional information.
